Mother of pearl

Your recycled, recyclable solid surface alternative to resin

Karlite is a material with memory. Once designed for clarity and endurance as car headlights, it now finds new purpose as a solid surface material for architecture and design. Transformed entirely from recycled plastic, Karlite offers strength, subtle beauty, and a unique story embedded in every piece.

Karlite solid surface sheets are made from recycled industrial plastic waste, shred into granules. Karlite is 100% recyclable.

Working with Karlite is not much different from working with wood. Karlite can be processed in many ways such as:

  • Drilled & machined

  • Cut using CNC, router or watercutter

  • Fixed using screws and adhesives

  • Reshapen by applying heat

  • Coated and refinished

We also offer cutting services and bespoke services such as custom colours, addtions and design services.
