karlite chalk evokes the soft elegance of the chalk cliffs found along Europe’s coasts, its colour derived from a pigment made of one of Earth’s most abundant natural materials. With a subtle translucency, it glows beautifully when backlit, while its light tone and natural texture make it an ideal choice for worktops and interior surfaces.
Karlite Jade carries a subtle freshness, like light filtering through onyx, or you guessed it: Jade. Its muted green tone feels both modern and organic, adding a sense of ease and clarity to any space. Softly translucent, it shifts with the light and brings a quiet vitality to the surfaces it defines.
Karlite Glacial captures the quiet clarity of ice and northern light. Its pale blue tone feels cool and weightless, with a gentle translucency that reveals depth beneath the surface. Serene yet striking, it brings a sense of stillness and balance to any interior.
Karlite Chestnut carries the depth and richness of dark wood, with a subtle warmth that reveals itself in the light. Its tone feels grounded and sophisticated, offering a natural sense of stability and calm. Perfect for interiors that seek quiet strength and timeless presence.
Karlite Sienna radiates warmth and depth, recalling the rich tones of clay and sunbaked earth. Its gentle translucency gives it a soft inner glow, bringing a sense of calm and permanence to any interior. Balanced between natural and contemporary, it’s a colour that quietly commands attention.
Karlite Quartz carries a soft blush tone with a quiet, mineral-like depth. Its gentle translucency catches the light in subtle ways, giving the surface a calm yet sophisticated character. Elegant and contemporary, it brings a sense of warmth and refinement to any setting.
Karlite Pomegranate exudes richness and depth, with a deep red hue that feels both grounded and vibrant. Its translucent warmth catches the light softly, revealing a subtle inner glow. Bold yet refined, it brings a sense of character and quiet intensity to any setting.
suitable for wet areas
Non-porous and highly resistant to moisture, Karlite is an excellent choice for kitchens, bathroom and other environments where water is present.
UV resistance
Uncoated polycarbonate sheets typically last 5–7 years outdoors before showing signs of yellowing. With a UV-protective coating, up to 10–15 years. We do not recommend outdoor use.
fire
resistance
Polycarbonate has natural flame retardant properties, offering greater safety compared to many other recycled plastics.
heat
stability
Karlite remains stable up to around 120 °C, making it well suited for kitchens and everyday use, including contact with hot water.
fully recyclable
Karlite is made from 100% recycled polycarbonate and can be reprocessed at the end of its life, ensuring it remains part of a truly circular material cycle.
We’ve eliminated the need for any backing material, allowing Karlite to stand strong on its own.
Karlite is a solid surface material for architecture and design, combining durability with quiet elegance. Its 19mm thickness gives it structure and allows it to stand independently without backers. Rather than trying to look sustainable, Karlite quietly embodies a different way of thinking about materials, production and use while remaining fully recyclable.
karlite bespoke
We're able to develop custom Karlite colors with different levels of translucency based on your wishes.
1. Share your reference Send us a RAL or Pantone color, a brief visual description and the desired level of translucency. Sketches, renders and moodboards help us understand the context of your project.
2. We create your samples We produce eight samples in four tonal variations of your selected color. Four are sent to you and four are archived in our material library for reference.
3. Select and refine Choose the sample that works best for your project. If adjustments are needed we repeat the process until we reach the result that fits best.
