Each sheet is handmade through a process reminiscent of a candymaker at work. Discarded polycarbonate is melted and kneaded by hand, creating its distinctive pattern. During this process, air bubbles are trapped within the material and, once cooled, remain suspended in the surface. The result is a play of light and depth — intricate, refractive patterns that give each piece its unique sheen. Every sheet reflects the skill of the artisan and a deep understanding of the material.
By closely examining the specific needs of your project, we create tailored solutions, from development to logistics, ensuring that every aspect of our products and services aligns perfectly with your goals.

MOP Celestial Blue
A cool, natural tone reminiscent of the open sky, perfectly balancing warmer and more grounded hues. Favoured by Jil Sander and Casper Mueller Kneer Architects for the way it contrasts against their travertine interiors see it applied in the Ginza store here.
MOP Happy Orange
Radiating warmth and optimism, Happy Orange feels like bottled sunlight. Its rich swirls of amber and cream bring energy to any space a colour that can’t help but make you smile. Perfect for statement pieces or playful accents that celebrate joy in material form.
MOP bosch green
Originally developed for OMA Architects and Inditex Group’s Bershka stores, Bosch Green was one of the first colours we ever created. Its grounded, natural tone carries a quiet strength, a timeless classic that continues to define our palette. Have a look at the Bershka store here.
MOP Classic
Mother of Pearl Classic is where it all began. Its subtle grey-white tone captures the essence of the material; refined, balanced and timeless. The swirling patterns evoke natural stone, yet its luminous depth reveals something distinctly contemporary. Elegant under any light, it’s the purest expression of our vision: beauty born from waste.
MOP Graphite
Once applied by the Karl Lagerfeld team, Graphite became an unmissable element in the iconic duo of Black and White that defines the Mother of Pearl collection. Its deep metallic swirls and silvery undertones give it a sense of movement and depth, balancing bold contrast with refined elegance.
MOP Gold
MOP Gold radiates warmth and sophistication with its soft golden hue and pearlescent sheen. Its swirling pattern catches the light like liquid metal, creating depth and movement across the surface. A timeless tone that brings understated luxury to both contemporary and classic interiors.
MOP Victoria Green
MOP Victoria Green combines soft greens with pearlescent veining, echoing the elegance of hand-polished stone. Its serene tone adds balance and freshness to any space, while the swirling surface reflects light in gentle, shifting patterns, calm, refined, and quietly striking.

Uncoated polycarbonate sheets typically last 5–7 years outdoors before showing signs of yellowing. With a UV-protective coating, up to 10–15 years. We do not recommend outdoor use.

Karlite remains stable up to around 120 °C, making it well suited for kitchens and everyday use, including contact with hot water.
fire
resistance
Polycarbonate has natural flame retardant properties, offering greater safety compared to many other recycled plastics.
fully recyclable
Karlite is made from 100% recycled polycarbonate and can be reprocessed at the end of its life, ensuring it remains part of a truly circular material cycle.
