In 2023 Boombrush asked us to find a new use for the toothbrush heads returned through their subscription program. These components are designed to be single-use for hygienic reasons, but the material doesn’t need to be. We went through many iterations of R&D, and eventually were able to create a material strong enough for a conference table made entirely from their own post-consumer waste.
By transforming disposable plastics into a robust table, we explore how waste streams can be reworked into lasting design elements. A practical example of how circular thinking can be applied at the material level and integrated into the design of a piece of furniture.
